August 23, 2012 -Meeting Minutes

·         Meeting called to order at 12:10pm.

·         Puente hosting Mexican Independence day in the quad along with the Young Democrats and the League of Women.

·         Club members did a meet and greet.

·         Juan gave an ICC update

·         Discussed open officer positions and their descriptions.

·         Nominations

A.  Treasurer: Robert

B.  ICC: Ben and Juan

C.  Secretary: Justine

D.  Event Coordinators: Genevieve, Germaine, Keith

·         Voted on 2 new Event Coordinators

A.  Winners: Genevieve and Germaine

·         Discussed a $3 membership fee for those who wish to be voting members.

A.  Genevieve motioned.

B.  Nellie seconds.

C.  Motion passed.

·         Hangout day mentioned

·         $100 donation to be added to scholarship fund

A.  Mundo motioned

B.  Nellie and Juan seconds.

C.  Motion passed.

·         Family Fest will be on Saturday, September 29^th from 11am-3pm.

A.  Hosted by Gay Visalia at Mooney’s Grove

B.  Will be discussed at the next meeting, 08/30/12.

·         Alicia announced that Fresno City College will be doing a reading of Prop 8 at 7:30pm on August 25, 2012.

·         Club T-Shirts are available for $15.

A.  Alicia has the women’s shirts

·         Membership forms were filled out.

·         Watched a slide show.
