Pride Club Meeting 4/4/13

            -Child Abuse March on Saturday, April 6th from 9:30am-12pm

            -Meeting spot Floral and Main St. (march to downtown plaza)

                        -Ribbon to show support

                        -commitment to wear blue ribbon for month of April

                        -SETA: Latino Youth Leadership Day, on April 12th 8am-2:30pm

                        -ASB: S.T.E.P.S Orientation for incoming High School students. On Saturday April 6th from 8-3:30. 1st group will help from 8-12 and the 2nd group from 11-3:30pm

                        -ASB: Harlem Shake Video

                        -Sustainability: Earth Day Event will be having informational booth and will also be showing a documentary film. They need help with set-up and club participation.

                        -ASB: Will be having a Campus Clean Up Day; date is still to be determined!

                        -ASB Harlem Shake Video: Date is set for April 4th at 2pm, we need Student Participation.

                        -Resources Fair- info TBA, Date is set for April 4th

                        -Career Fair- info TBA, Date is set for May 8th

            -Club Reports

                        -Creative Writing/Quill: talked about the Creative Arts Day, they will be having students recite poetry and their Fundraiser

                        -Philosophy Club: is having an open discussion called “Challenging the Mind”

                        -Puente Club: is having a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 2nd they will be selling food items, they encourage club participation, cost of the booth is $25 and food is a “First come First Served” basis.                         -AG Council: 4H conference on Saturday went well, and for Kids Day they raised about $2,000 for Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera.

                        -AG Council-Equestrian Team: is going to Finals in Kentucky, they are the only Community College to participate in the Finals.

                        -Social Work Club: will be showing a documentary video called “Invisible War” (which is about rape in the military)

                        -MSA (Muslim Student Alliance): Art Show in Three Rivers, CA at the Court Gallery on April 20th more info: namelessfire.com

                        -MEChA: having a MEChA Club Awareness Day today in quad. (3/21/13)

                        -PrintWorks: will be having a Print-A-Thon, they will be doing printing and labeling for 24hrs and will be offering special pricing, they can print on almost anything, for more information please contact Erick at erickfelix323@hotmail.com. In the middle of June they will be having a Workshop
